Staff physical therapist assistant

Cathy is a Texas native turned into a Nevada resident. Being born and raised in McAllen, Texas which is 9 miles from the Mexican border. She is the middle child surrounded by four brothers. Her family is very united and fun to be around.
Following high school, she headed to San Antonio, Texas to attend The University of Texas. During herundergraduate studies, she joined the Physical Therapy Society that opened a door for her as a physical therapy technician. After changing her major, the moment she began her job as a PT tech, she knew that this was the field she wanted to pursue.
In completing her Bachelor of Biology degree from UTSA, she applied to both PT and PTA schools and aimed to go through the first door that opened. Loma Linda University in California called me and asked me to fly in for an interview. Shortly after the interview, she was accepted into their PTA program. Upon graduating from the PTA program, she decided to move back to San Antonio and begin her career. Three years later, an itch to travel began to arise in her. These travel adventures came to an end 2 years later when she decided to stay with Galena Sport Physical Therapy. After working in several clinics throughout the years, it was rare to find a facility that works as a unit. The staff members get along very well, and the clinic holds provider continuing education highly in order to give our patients the best care. Finding her future husband and enjoying the beautiful seasons and scenery of Nevada has to offer were also huge factors in her decision to stay.
