Tasty Banana Snacks
http://www.galenasport.com/Blog/a~8422/article.html

If you're looking for a tasty, energetic snack that can provide a little vitality and satisfy your sweet tooth, here is a Dunn family favorite!

They are called protein balls (That is just their original name, but please feel free to change the name as you see fit). These little snacks are packed with nutrients and are quick to make.  If you want a little pick-me-up after a workout, or some energy to get you through the day, this snack provides a handful of nutrition.

(Pictured above is Mrs. Dunn and baby William having a go at a new batch)

Recipe

2 cups of mashed bananas (About 4, very ripe)

¼ cup peanut butter (move to ½ cup for more peanut butter flavor)

2 ¼ cup oats

2 tbsp honey (add more for your liking)

2 tsp cinnamon (We really like cinnamon so we use 2-3 tsp)

Mash up the bananas in a large mixing bowl. Add the oats, then cinnamon, honey, and peanut butter to the mixture and stir well.  The consistency should be pretty thick.  If not add a few more oats to even things out.  We like to add flaxseed meal, protein powder as well to give the snack a little more nutrient density.  When all is mixed, we throw in a 1/2 cup of dark chocolate chips to make these like a little dessert. Once all your ingredients are mixed well, roll them into tiny balls about the size of a golf ball and refrigerate. Enjoy!

Additions:

Protein powder 1 tbsp, flax seed meal 1/8 cup, chocolate chips (we prefer dark chocolate with these)
